Hello Everyone!
I hope that this issue of Powerlines finds everyone well and strong.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you as the new USAPL Executive Committee Secretary.
My lifting career began in 1999 in the, then, unknown gym of Plainwell High School. I was fortunate enough to watch and learn about powerlifting through the growing Plainwell Knights program that, today, is so well known. I also have been very lucky in all the role models and support that I have through USAPL Michigan.
Over the last 6 years I have become an active member in our organization through lifting at numerous local, national and a handful of world level meets. I also have been an active member on the Women's Committee as an Athlete's Rep and Chair of the Women's Hall of Fame committee as well as a state and national level referee. Last year during my junior year of college at Western Michigan University I interned for the USAPL as a marketing intern.
I am very excited about this opportunity to serve the USAPL membership through the role of Secretary. If there is anything that I can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail at usaplsec@gmail.com.
Keep Training!
Erin Dickey
Note: Erin has promised to have the NGB Meeting Minutes ready for the next issue of Powerlines.
