Danube Cup

On March 17 USAPL lifters Brad Gillingham and Nate Nord lifted as Guest Lifters at the Danube Cup in Stockerau, Austria. They both put on a great show and did the USAPL proud. Nate totaled 797.5. He went 320-235-242.5 He went for a PR total on his last 2 deadlifts and just about had it.

Brad totaled 1005. He went 360 - 267.5 - 377.5. Brad competed with a lower back injury, so his total was down from what he's capable of. He'll be back in July at full strength. Robert Keller was the head judge for the morning session. He presented the EPF with a crystal piece that was very nice. It was etched with some words of appreciation from the USAPL. Steve Johnson, Bruce Nord, Mike Tully, and Gary Grahn went along as coaches and team support. We were treated in a way that was of such high regard. The hosts were so gracious for all of us being there. The guys put on a great show. The crowd was knowledgeable and very supportive of all the lifters.

The most important thing that happened was the fact that no other USAPL lifters had ever been invited to participate in these championships. For them to extend this invitation is a real breakthrough. As far as we know, no one has ever been able to be a part of an event in the EPF like this. Brad and Nate are great ambassadors for the USAPL and our sport.

A special thank you goes to Rob Keller for making it all happen.

Thanks my friend!!
