It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Greg, who passed away peacefully while in hospice care on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
Greg was a valued part of the powerlifting community and someone who consistently showed up for others with generosity, encouragement, and kindness. Whether through competition, mentorship, volunteering, or simply being present for those around him, Greg made a lasting impact on countless lives across USA Powerlifting and beyond.
Throughout his illness, Greg and his family chose to keep much of their journey private. We ask that this continued privacy be respected as his loved ones grieve and support one another during this difficult time.
His family shared their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love, prayers, and compassion they have received throughout the past months. The support from friends, athletes, officials, and the broader strength community meant more than words can express.
Greg was deeply loved, and his presence within the sport and the lives of those around him will not be forgotten. The impact he made reached far beyond the platform.
We extend our deepest condolences to Greg’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
